About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Asialink Cargo & Packing Agency Sdn Bhd as an Account Executive. This is a permenant role based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions for the business.

What you'll be doing

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations, and preparing financial statements

• Handling payroll processing and ensuring compliance with relevant tax and employment regulations

• Providing financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making

• Assist to Liaising with internal stakeholders and external parties, such as auditors and tax authorities

What we're looking for

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field

• At least 1 year experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably in a small to medium-sized business

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records

• Using UBS accounting software, prefer have more knowledge on other accounting software and spreadsheet applications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset

• Knowledge of Sales and Services Tax (SST) and corporate tax compliance requirements in Malaysia
