A Turnaround (TA) Supervisor for Rotating Equipment in the Bintulu oil and gas sector coordinates plant shutdown execution for critical machinery like compressors, turbines, and pumps.

Key Responsibilities

• Field Execution & Supervision: Lead teams of mechanical fitters, millwrights, and technicians during disassembly, overhaul, and reinstallation of centrifugal/reciprocating compressors, pumps, and turbines.
• Safety & Compliance (HSE): Enforce Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and conduct daily toolbox talks/Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
• Schedule & Progress Tracking: Monitor mechanical work progress against the master turnaround schedule, identifying bottlenecks and executing recovery plans.
• Technical Quality Control: Oversee precision tasks including laser shaft alignment, mechanical seal replacement, dynamic balancing, and bearing clearances according to OEM standards.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Interface daily with planning, QA/QC, lifting, scaffolding, and operations departments to ensure seamless handovers.

Key Requirements

• Education: Technical Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience: 5 to 8+ years of total hands-on experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical maintenance, with at least 2–3 years in a dedicated supervisory or lead capacity managing shutdowns/turnarounds.
• Technical Competencies: Strong mastery of rotating machinery, precision measurement tools, alignment methods, and CMMS software (such as SAPPM).
• Certificates & Local Status: Valid safety passports (e.g., OGSP/CIDB depending on onshore/offshore requirements) and preference for local Sarawakian candidates or valid work permits
