Key Responsibilities
- Event Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute annual and ad-hoc event strategies that support business and marketing objectives.
- Plan, manage, and oversee nationwide events, including product launches, roadshows, store openings, brand activations, exhibitions, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Manage the full event lifecycle from concept development and planning through execution and post-event evaluation.
- Ensure all events are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with brand standards.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with internal departments, external agencies, suppliers, and event vendors to ensure smooth event execution.
- Source, negotiate, and manage vendors to achieve high-quality deliverables while optimizing costs.
- Oversee event logistics, venue arrangements, permits, manpower, equipment, and production requirements.
- Marketing & Brand Activation
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure event concepts align with campaign objectives and brand messaging.
- Support the execution of promotional campaigns through on-ground activations and experiential marketing initiatives.
- Ensure event branding, POSM, and promotional materials are properly planned and executed.
- Budget & Performance Management
- Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring effective allocation and cost control.
- Monitor event expenditure and vendor performance while maintaining budget compliance.
- Evaluate event performance, analyze attendance, customer engagement, ROI, and other success metrics.
- Prepare post-event reports and recommend improvements for future events.
- Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination before, during, and after events.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging event technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance event experiences.
- Identify opportunities to improve event efficiency, customer engagement, and brand visibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Event Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in event management, preferably within the Retail, FMCG, or QSR industries.
- Proven experience managing large-scale corporate events, brand activations, roadshows, exhibitions, and store opening events.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Solid vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing event budgets and evaluating event ROI.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin (read & write) is an added advantage for smoother communication with stakeholders.
- Willing to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, when required for events.
