• To work with kitchen team to control and monitor food costing in order to achieve targeted performance.
• To ensure and maintain the standard of food presentation, quality and food safety requirements.
• To ensure overall cleanliness of the kitchen area and equipment.
• Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensuring kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements.
• Manage and train junior kitchen staff, including commis chefs and trainees.
• Delegate tasks effectively to maintain efficiency in the section.
• Minimize food waste by practicing proper portioning and storage techniques.
• Communicate with other sections to coordinate preparation and service.
