Job description:
Key responsibilities
- Product and material inspection: Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to check that products and materials meet quality standards and specifications.
- Testing: Conduct tests on products and materials to identify defects or deviations.
- Documentation: Record inspection results, document any issues found, and update relevant forms or reports.
- Compliance and standards: Ensure all products and processes comply with company, industry, and regulatory standards.
- Auditing: Support internal and external quality audits.
- Process improvement: Make recommendations for improving production processes and product quality.
- Tool and equipment use: Utilize precision measuring tools and equipment for inspections.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with production teams and other relevant parties to ensure quality standards are met and deadlines are achieved.
Qualifications and skills
- A diploma or degree in a relevant field like mechanical engineering, food science, or another area related to the industry is often required.
- Experience in production or quality control is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and manuals is crucial.
- Available to work on shifts.
