Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Lead the full recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Work with department heads to plan manpower requirements.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline.
  • Improve recruitment efficiency and employer branding.

Employee Relations

  • Handle employee enquiries, grievances, disciplinary matters, and investigations.
  • Advise managers on employee relations issues and HR best practices.
  • Foster a positive and productive workplace culture.

Performance Management

  • Coordinate the performance appraisal process.
  • Support managers in setting KPIs and managing employee performance.
  • Monitor probation, confirmation, and performance improvement plans.

Learning & Development

  • Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programmes.
  • Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives.
  • Monitor training effectiveness.

HR Policies & Compliance

  • Develop, review, and implement HR policies and SOPs.
  • Ensure compliance with:
  • Employment Act 1955
  • Sarawak Labour Ordinance (and Sabah Labour Ordinance where applicable)
  • Industrial Relations legislation
  • Occupational Safety and Health legislation
  • Other applicable Malaysian employment laws and regulations
  • Keep management updated on changes in employment legislation.

Employee Engagement

  • Plan and organise employee engagement activities and company events.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work culture.
  • Support employee recognition and retention initiatives.

HR Operations

  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Prepare HR reports and support HR process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation, including the Sarawak Labour Ordinance (and Sabah Labour Ordinance where applicable).
  • Strong experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and learning & development.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken)
  • Ability to speak Mandarin is an added advantage to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking employees, candidates, and stakeholders

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
