Role Description

The Senior Chemical Engineer (Hydrometallurgy) is a full-time, on-site role based in Nilai. This role is responsible for designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting chemical processes, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and product quality. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing process data, leading laboratory and pilot tests, preparing technical reports, and developing recommendations to improve production performance. The role also involves ensuring regulatory and environmental compliance, and contributing to process changes.

Qualifications

• PhD/Master's in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Solid foundation in hydrometallurgy & process engineering, including process design, scale-up, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in laboratory skills, including experimental design, testing, and documentation of results.
• Experience in the chemical industry, with understanding of plant operations, safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information clearly.
• Experience in process simulation software and relevant engineering tools is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects, mentor team members, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
