Working hour: 8:00 AM – 5:45 PM (Monday to Friday)
About the role
We are seeking a motivated Account Executive/Assistant to manage accounting operations, reporting, and financial documentation with accuracy and efficiency. You will work closely with internal teams and external parties to ensure smooth financial processes and compliance.
What you'll be doing (depending on the role)
1. Account Executive
[Headquarters - HQ]
General Ledger: Handle HQ General Ledger (GL), including staff claims processing, reconciliation, and data integrity.
Month-End Closing: Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing for all managed accounts.
Boutique Validation: Validate Boutique Collections and ensure all system updates and reconciliations are accurate.
Filing & Documentation: Maintain an organized filing system and proper documentation for audit readiness.
[Sister Company]
Accounts Management: Handle full accounts (excluding AP), including Accounts Receivable (AR), GL, including staff claims processing, Costing preparation, and Fixed Asset management.
Tax & Compliance: Handle SST & E-Invoicing submission and ensure full compliance.
External Liaison: Liaise with Tax Agents, Auditors, and Company Secretary for statutory filings, audits, and compliance matters.
Month-End Closing: Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing for all managed accounts.
Reporting: Prepare and present monthly reports on sales, inventory, and company performance to management.
Filing & Documentation: Maintain an organized filing system and proper documentation for audit
2. Account Assistant/Executive (AR)
AR Management: Manage the full cycle of Accounts Receivable (AR), including the accurate issuance of Debit Notes (DN), Credit Notes (CN), and Official Receipts (OR).
Credit Control & Aging: Prepare and distribute monthly customer statements; monitor aging reports and perform proactive follow-ups on outstanding payments to ensure healthy cash flow.
Dispute Resolution: Liaise effectively with customers and the sales team to resolve billing discrepancies and coordinate credit terms/collections.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all financial transactions comply with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal company policies.
Audit Support: Maintain organized AR documentation and provide necessary support for month-end/year-end closing, as well as statutory audits.
Ad-hoc Tasks: Assist the Account Manager with other accounting-related duties or administrative tasks as required.
What we're looking for
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Account Assistant: Fresh graduates with a strong desire to learn are highly encouraged to apply.
Account Executive: Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet tight deadlines for month-end closing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Experience with accounting software or ERP systems (knowledge of Autocount is an advantage).
Good command of Bahasa Malaysia, English & CN (spoken and written).
