Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Backend Engineer with hands-on experience in Node.js to develop, maintain, and enhance scalable backend applications and services. Candidates with strong fundamentals and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using Node.js.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
• Work with databases to store, retrieve, and manage application data.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend application issues.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and other team members.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and application performance improvements.
• Follow development best practices and contribute to continuous improvement.

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development or backend engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js.
• Good understanding of JavaScript and asynchronous programming.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and backend application development.
• Basic understanding of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Express.js or similar Node.js frameworks.
• Basic knowledge of authentication, authorization, and API security.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, application deployment, or CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of unit testing and debugging tools.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
