Job Summary
This is not a casual "play with dogs all day" role. You will actively facilitate structured routines, supervise low-arousal enrichment, support clean transitions, and maintain medical-grade facility hygiene. We operate on calm confidence, clear boundaries, and low-stress handling.
What You’ll Do
- Supervised Enrichment & Rest: Guide dogs through puzzle setups, scent games, structured downtime, and decompression sessions.
- Low-Arousal Handling: Manage small, structured groups, lead walks, and support arrival/departure handovers with composure.
- Sanitation & Hygiene: Execute daily deep-cleaning, disinfection routines, crate upkeep, and spot sanitation to maintain a pristine environment.
- Vigilant Observation: Monitor subtle body language, stress indicators, and physical health, escalating any changes immediately.
What We Look For
- Calm Demeanour: You naturally bring steady, grounded energy rather than high-pitched excitement.
- High Attention to Detail: Strict adherence to safety protocols (double-door discipline, crate latches, gear checks, sanitisation steps).
- Physical Stamina: Comfortable on your feet, outdoor walking in humid weather, cleaning thoroughly, and lifting up to 15–20 kg when required.
- Commitment: Able to commit reliably to fixed weekly shifts for at least 6 months.
Bonus Advantages (Not Required):
- Canine First Aid & CPR certification.
- Prior professional or volunteer experience in a veterinary clinic, shelter, grooming salon, or structured boarding facility.
- Basic knowledge of canine body language and positive reinforcement principles.
