VIC Interior Pte Ltd is seeking a commercially driven
Associate Director – Business Development & Commercial
to lead business development, client acquisition and strategic growth initiatives within the interior fit-out and construction industry.
This is a
performance-driven senior management role
suited to an experienced professional with a strong business network, entrepreneurial mindset and proven ability to originate, develop and secure new projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director and project team on business strategy, tender opportunities, commercial negotiations and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities for interior fit-out, renovation, A&A and construction projects.
Generate new sales leads and establish relationships with prospective clients, consultants, architects, developers and industry partners.
Develop VIC Interior's presence within healthcare, institutional, commercial and other targeted market sectors.
Source and evaluate private and public-sector tender opportunities.
Lead client engagement from initial opportunity through proposal, negotiation and contract award.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and new clients.
Develop business strategies, sales pipelines and account development plans together with the Managing Director.
Participate in tender strategy, pricing reviews, commercial negotiations and contract discussions.
Work with the QS and project teams to ensure proposals are commercially competitive and operationally achievable.
Monitor project opportunities, market developments and competitor activities.
Represent the company at client meetings, industry events and business networking activities.
Assist management in evaluating project risks, profitability and commercial terms before committing to new projects.
Follow up on proposals and tenders to improve conversion into awarded projects.
Support management in strategic planning and development of new business channels.
Provide management oversight and commercial guidance for projects or key accounts where required.
Achieve agreed business development, revenue and profitability targets.
Requirements
Degree or equivalent professional qualification in
Business, Marketing, Building, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering
or a related discipline.
Preferably
8 years or more
of relevant experience in business development, sales, commercial management, construction or interior fit-out.
Proven ability to develop client relationships and generate new business opportunities.
Strong network within Singapore's construction, interior fit-out, property, healthcare or commercial sectors will be advantageous.
Good commercial understanding of tendering, costing, contract negotiation and project profitability.
Experience with GeBIZ, Ariba, SESAMi or other tender/procurement platforms will be advantageous.
Able to communicate and negotiate effectively with senior management, clients, consultants and business partners.
Entrepreneurial and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong commitment to developing sustainable and profitable business for the company.
Candidates with both
business development and construction commercial experience
will have an advantage.
