Field Engineer – High Voltage (HV) / Electrical Transmission Lines

Purnama Solution (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive Field Engineer to coordinate and monitor HV works, electrical transmission line projects, breakdown response and rectification activities.

This is a mobile, site-based role requiring frequent nationwide travel, primarily within the Central and Southern regions, including Johor. Candidates must be comfortable being on the move and working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily site activities, manpower, subcontractors, equipment and materials for planned works and breakdown assignments.
• Attend sites to monitor breakdown conditions, coordinate rectification activities and track progress through to completion.
• Monitor project schedules, identify delays and escalate technical issues or site constraints promptly.
• Provide timely updates to management and client representatives on work progress and breakdown status.
• Prepare daily site reports, breakdown reports, photographic records, inspection documents and completion reports.
• Maintain project trackers and documentation for client submissions, progress claims and handover.
• Review technical drawings, verify site measurements and assist with AutoCAD drafting and as-built drawings.
• Liaise with project teams, client representatives and safety personnel to ensure work follows approved methods and site requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline preferred.
• Relevant experience in HV works, electrical transmission lines, maintenance or construction projects is an advantage.
• Strong documentation, reporting, organisation and site coordination skills.
• AutoCAD drafting skills preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage changing priorities and follow through on outstanding issues.
• Willing to travel nationwide at short notice and stay near project sites when required.
• Available to support urgent breakdown assignments outside normal working hours when necessary.
• Valid driving licence required.
