• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Procurement, Construction Management* or related field 2–3 years of experience in Quantity Surveying

• Fluent in Mandarin*, both spoken and written, as you will communicate with Mandarin-speaking suppliers and business partners

• Willing to travel overseas when required

• Familiar with International Commercial Terms (Incoterms)*, import documentation and basic international trade practices

• Good negotiation, analytical and communication skills

• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks

• We are a fast-growing homestay business looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

• This is a hybrid QS + Procurement role, where you will be involved in *cost estimation, BOQ, material sourcing, supplier negotiation and procurement* for our interior design projects.

• You will have the opportunity to work with suppliers from Malaysia and China, and may travel overseas for factory visits and supplier negotiations.

What You Will Do

• Source, evaluate and build good relationships with suppliers and manufacturers in Malaysia and China

• Compare quotations and negotiate for better prices, payment terms and delivery timelines

• Manage the full procurement process from material request to shipment tracking and final delivery

• Source interior design materials such as furniture, curtains, mattresses, linens, wall panels, paint and carpentry materials

• Prepare basic cost estimates and assist with Bills of Quantities (BOQ)

• Monitor project budgets, actual spending and material costs

• Identify cost differences, material wastage and opportunities to reduce costs

• Work closely with the Interior Design, Accounts and Business Development teams

• Research market prices, material alternatives and new suppliers

• Ensure purchasing, costing and import/export documents are properly prepared

• Maintain good relationships with suppliers and ensure materials are delivered according to project requirements

• Travel overseas when required for factory visits, sourcing and supplier negotiations
