Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer / Software Engineer with at least 5 years of experience to design, develop, and deploy high-performance software systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional technical teams and equipment vendors from China. Excellent command of Mandarin is required for technical alignments and integration discussions with China-based engineers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy reliable software systems tailored to client operational needs.
• Implement and optimize WMS (Warehouse Management System) and WES (Warehouse Execution System) software architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including automation engineers, project managers, and client stakeholders to deliver quality technical solutions.
• Coordinate directly with China-based vendors and equipment manufacturers for system integration, API/PLC interface alignment, and technical troubleshooting.
• Support end-to-end project implementation, on-site commissioning, user acceptance testing (UAT), and system go-live.
• Provide ongoing system maintenance, upgrades, and technical support to ensure minimal operational downtime.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, throughput, and stability to satisfy core business requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in software engineering and system development.
• Direct working experience in WMS or WES implementation and support is highly preferred.
• Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) to effectively communicate and negotiate technical specifications with China-based partners and suppliers.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia for internal team collaboration.
• Technical proficiency in back-end development (e.g., C#, .NET, Java, Python, or C++) and relational databases (SQL).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, PLC communications, or industrial warehouse automation hardware integration is a strong advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills.
