• Produces and supervises the annual marketing plan, marketing budgets and forecasts for the hotel, adhering to the policies and procedures.

• Interacts with individuals outside the property, including, but not limited to clients, convention bureaus, local hotel associations, government tourist offices, airlines, travel agents, competitors and other members of the local community.

• Recommends to the General Manager all methods of maintaining and increasing business volume. This includes sales promotion, personal selling, community relations, special sales projects, employee training and guest relations.

• Procures new and repeat business for the Hotel by maintaining contact with travel agencies, commercial houses, private clubs and professional associations within the community and neighboring markets.

b. Telephone contacts.

c. Written communications, i.e direct mail

• Attends major regional functions i.e Trade Show, Marketing Association Meeting etc. to promote sales for the Hotel.
• Establishes and maintains effective employee relations in the Hotel.

• Communicates with all departments the necessary data that will effect the overall and specific departments of the Hotel relating to group meeting and functions.

• Coordinates functions and activities with other departments in the relevant properties as it relates to the sales function (i.e Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Rooms, Front Office Manager etc).

• Participates as an active member of the community through association memberships and other trade organizations.

• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
