Responsibilities
The Position:
A large, well-regarded organisation in Singapore is seeking a senior Internal Audit professional to play a key leadership role in its audit function, with considerable autonomy to shape its future direction. This is a broad leadership role overseeing business process and IT audit activities, supervising experienced senior managers while remaining hands-on with complex audits and key deliverables.
Following the recent implementation of a new ERP platform, the team is continuing to evolve its audit approach, embracing further automation and AI-enabled tools to strengthen risk coverage and enhance audit effectiveness. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and the Audit and Risk Committee, with the potential to progress to Head of Internal Audit within the next 1 to 2 years. The role offers a supportive working environment, hybrid work flexibility, minimal travel and a competitive remuneration package.
Skills & Experience:
Candidates should possess a recognised degree in Accountancy, Business or a related discipline, together with a professional qualification such as CA, CIA or CISA. At least 15 years of internal audit experience is expected, including proven experience leading and developing audit teams. Strong hands-on expertise across the full audit lifecycle is essential, including risk assessment, development of risk-based audit plans, audit scoping, fieldwork, evaluation of controls and preparation of high-quality reports.
Excellent project management skills are essential, particularly the ability to prioritise competing demands, allocate resources and deliver to agreed timelines. Candidates must demonstrate sound judgement and discretion, together with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and handle challenging discussions professionally. Experience across business process and IT audit is important, while familiarity with data analytics, automation and AI-enabled audit tools would be an added benefit.
