Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in Butterworth. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and reviewing mechanical systems and components for various M&E projects, including preparation of drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Daily tasks include performing calculations, conducting feasibility studies, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring designs meet safety standards and regulatory requirements. The role also involves supporting project planning, attending site visits, monitoring installation and commissioning activities, and providing technical input to address design or site-related issues. The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to building services and infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating and modifying mechanical drawings and models.
• Project Management skills to plan, coordinate, and track engineering tasks across multiple projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Knowledge of relevant Malaysian standards, codes, and regulatory requirements for M&E works is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and documentation.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients on-site.
• Willingness to work on-site in Butterworth and conduct site inspections as required.
