Responsibilities

Smartlink Engineering is a Malaysian contract manufacturing company serving high-precision industries, including semiconductor, automotive, aerospace and other technology-driven manufacturing sectors.

Our capabilities include precision machining, electrical and mechanical assembly, cable and wire harnessing, fabrication, control panels and system integration.

We operate in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment, where engineering teams work closely with production, automation, software, and operations to continuously improve processes and operational efficiency.

Job Summary :

We are looking for a Process Engineer who is technically strong, analytical and comfortable working in a high-mix, technology-driven manufacturing environment. We are particularly interested in candidates with exposure to automation, programming, software systems, data analytics and system integration within manufacturing or engineering environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, improve and optimise manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, efficiency and cost.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and digitalisation within manufacturing operations.
  • Work with software, automation and engineering teams to implement process improvement solutions.
  • Analyse manufacturing and operational data to identify process trends, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain process-related systems, databases, dashboards or digital tools where required.
  • Support the integration of ERP, manufacturing software and other digital systems into operational processes.
  • Develop or utilise programming/scripts to automate repetitive tasks, data collection, reporting or process monitoring.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for process-related issues.
  • Develop work instructions, process documentation, process flow and engineering standards.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI), process validation and production readiness activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven approaches.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in process engineering, manufacturing automation, system integration, digital manufacturing or technology-enabled operations.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering problem-solving.
  • Experience using ERP, MES or other manufacturing/software systems.
  • Basic to strong programming or scripting capability, such as Python, SQL, VBA, PLC programming or other relevant programming languages/tools.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Ability to translate operational requirements into practical technical or software-based solutions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,750.00 per month
