The Role
You'll manage the full accounting cycle for both Gajaa and Saudagar, keeping each entity's books accurate, compliant, and audit-ready while giving management clear, timely insight into business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full set of accounts for both Gajaa and Saudagar, including month-end and year-end closing
- Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L by outlet/brand, and financial reports for management review
- Oversee AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions between the two entities
- Monitor food costs, inventory, and outlet-level profitability, and highlight variances to management
- Handle cash management, including daily sales reconciliation from POS and delivery platforms
- Prepare budgets and forecasts, and track actual performance against them
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including SST, corporate tax, and other LHDN obligations
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and banks
- Strengthen internal controls and improve finance processes as the business grows
- Supervise and guide junior accounts staff [remove if not applicable]
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, MIA, CPA, or equivalent)
- At least [4–5] years of accounting experience, with full set of accounts handling
- Experience managing multiple entities or brands is a strong advantage
- Experience in the F&B industry is highly preferred
- Familiarity with [accounting software, e.g. AutoCount / SQL / Xero] and POS systems
- Strong working knowledge of Malaysian tax and statutory compliance
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reconciliations)
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to meet tight deadlines independently
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
