Lead site construction and commissioning activities with the Project Manager, ensuring work is delivered to approved drawings, specifications and client standards.

Deliver projects within the contractual completion dates, proactively identifying schedule risks and putting recovery plans in place.

Supervise and coordinate multi-disciplinary works (civil, mechanical/piping, electrical and instrumentation) and the site teams carrying them out.

Client, Authority & Stakeholder Management

Act as a primary point of contact for clients such as Gas Malaysia and PETRONAS on day-to-day project matters, progress meetings and reporting.

Apply for, track and close out all required Initial Approvals (IA) and Final Approvals (FA), permits and wayleaves with local authorities and relevant agencies.

Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, local authorities and third parties to keep work fronts open and interfaces resolved.

Cost, Procurement & Commercial Control

Support the Project Manager in budget and cost control through effective scheduling, resource planning and minimising project expenses.

Source competitive yet reliable equipment, bulk materials and consumables, and assist in vendor and subcontractor evaluation.

Track variations, site instructions and progress claims to support accurate project billing.

Engineering Quality & Documentation

Review engineering deliverables, drawings and method statements, and initiate corrective actions where required.

Prepare and manage project documentation in line with client requirements, including progress reports, ITPs, test records, as-built drawings and handover dossiers.

Health, Safety & Environment

Promote, implement and enforce HSE requirements at all times, in line with client HSE standards and Malaysian regulations (including OSHA 1994 and DOSH requirements).

Lead by example on site safety: toolbox talks, permit-to-work compliance, risk assessments and incident reporting.

Team & Company Contribution

Guide, supervise and develop junior engineers, supervisors and site staff, sharing technical knowledge and experience across the company.

Support other project teams with execution when required, and contribute to continuous improvement of company procedures.

Set and achieve annual Key Performance Objectives in line with company direction.

Proven experience delivering projects for Gas Malaysia, PETRONAS or other oil & gas / utility clients is strongly preferred.
