Gst Fine Foods Hiring! Full Time PURCHASING EXECUTIVE (IMPORT) in Selangor, Earn up to MYR 5,000 - Ricebowl

Key responsibilities

- Prepare purchase orders and follow up with overseas suppliers on pricing, quantities, production, and shipment schedules.

- Monitor open orders, estimated arrival dates, and shipment changes. Update the relevant teams promptly when supply may be delayed.

- Check import documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading or air waybills, health certificates, and other product documents where applicable.

- Coordinate with forwarders and relevant parties on shipping, customs clearance, and delivery arrangements.

- Work with the inventory team to review stock movement, forecast needs, and plan replenishment for imported products.

- Compare supplier quotations and prepare landed cost calculations for final purchase decisions.

- Follow up on product samples, quality issues, shortages, and supplier claims.

- Maintain accurate purchase, shipment, product, and supplier records in system.

- Communicate with our branch of Penang, Rawang, and Langkawi teams to support product availability and timely deliveries.

- Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure compliance with company procedures

- Prepare purchasing monthly reports

Requirements

- Diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field; relevant work experience is also welcome.

- At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, import coordination, or supply chain operations preferred.

- Experience with imported food, frozen products, or seafood is an advantage.

- Familiarity with shipping documents, forwarders, and landed cost calculations.

- Comfortable using Excel and an ERP system; SAP Business One experience is an advantage.

- Good communication and follow-up skills, with strong attention to detail.

- Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an advantage for communication with relevant suppliers.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
