Launch Your Career in Marine Insurance Broking
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Marine Broker Trainee to join our Hong Kong team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are interested in international trade, shipping, logistics, and insurance. As a Marine Broker Trainee, you will receive structured training and hands-on exposure to marine insurance broking, working alongside experienced brokers to support clients in managing marine and cargo risks across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
Support Marine Brokers in servicing corporate clients and insurance placements.
Assist in preparing insurance quotations, policy documentation, renewal reports, and presentations.
Liaise with clients, insurers, underwriters, and internal stakeholders on policy administration matters.
Monitor policy renewals, endorsements, claims notifications, and documentation.
Conduct market and industry research on marine, cargo, hull, and logistics-related risks.
Maintain accurate client records and data within internal systems.
Assist in claims handling and follow-up with insurers and clients.
Stay informed of developments in the shipping, logistics, and insurance industries.
Participate in structured training and professional development programmes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Risk Management, Insurance, Business, or a related discipline.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Candidates with less than 2 years of experience in insurance company or insurance broker firm are preferred.
Strong interest in marine insurance, shipping, logistics, and international trade.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Detail-oriented with good organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
