This entry-level position will involve assisting in the preparation and maintenance of food services. Ensure the kitchen runs efficiently and maintain the cleanliness and food safety standard

• Assist chefs with food preparation, including washing, peeling or chopping.

• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies.

• Empty garbage bins and dispose of waste properly.

• Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently according to the Senior Chef’s instructions.

• Ensure food is prepared to a high standard in terms of presentations, taste and quality.

• Assist with the setup, operations and cleaning of kitchen equipment and work area after each use.

• Always maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstations and storage area,

• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations strictly, ensuring a clean, safe kitchen environment.

• Monitor the quality of ingredients and report any issues to the senior Chef.

• Help with plating and presentation of dishes in line with restaurant standards.

• Support senior chefs and kitchen staff during busy service times by assisting with basic cooking tasks.

• Keep track of inventory and assist in ordering food items when necessary.

• Maintain a professional attitude and contribute to the teamwork and morale of the kitchen
