We are hiring an Industrial AI Systems Engineer.

We are specifically looking for someone with a strong electronics, electrical/electronic, mechatronics, control, automation or instrumentation engineering background.

A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.

The role is focused on designing and developing the next generation of AI-enabled industrial systems, including work around ISA-95, industrial automation, machine data and intelligent applications.

The engineer will be involved in areas such as:

• Industrial system architecture
• PLC, SCADA and industrial communications
• Sensors, instrumentation and embedded systems
• Machine learning for industrial data
• Vision AI and image processing
• Anomaly detection, prediction and optimisation
• OEE, condition monitoring and intelligent decision support
• OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus and industrial Ethernet
• Edge computing and Industrial IoT
• AI-assisted development, testing and documentation

We are looking for engineers who understand the physical system first — machines, sensors, signals, controls and processes — and can then apply AI, machine learning and software to solve the engineering problem.

This role will suit someone who enjoys working across electronics, automation, AI, machine learning and industrial systems, rather than staying within a single engineering discipline.

Experience is useful, but strong engineering fundamentals, curiosity and the ability to learn quickly are equally important.
