Your Mission

  • To conduct oil palm trials to improve agronomic and agricultural practices.
  • Plans and provides fertiliser application programme and recommendation for oil palm for SD Guthrie estates.
  • Advises the estates on the good agronomic practices for yield improvement.
  • Provides training/clinics in various agronomic aspects for executive and non-executive staff of estate operation.
  • To assist immediate superior in the data gathering and compilation for advisory services.
  • Plans and supervises oil palm and foliar sampling work.
  • To conduct and implement sustainability practices in the estate.
  • To carry out any other task or project instructed by superior as and when requested.


Education / Professional Qualification


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, Plant Science, or a related discipline.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; candidates with up to two years of relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Basic knowledge of agronomy, soil fertility, plant nutrition, fertiliser management, field experimentation, and sustainable agricultural practices.
  • Internship, research, or fieldwork exposure in oil palm, plantation agriculture, soil or foliar sampling, crop monitoring, or agricultural data collection is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; exposure to statistical, GIS, GPS, or digital field data collection tools is advantageous.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to maintain accurate field and research records.
  • Able to work independently with guidance and collaborate effectively with research, estate, and operational teams.
  • Willing to undertake regular fieldwork, travel to estates or research locations, and work under tropical outdoor conditions.
  • Committed to complying with the company’s safety, health, environmental, and operational requirements.
