Job Description

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee daily construction site activities and coordinate workers, subcontractors, and project resources. The successful candidate will help ensure that construction works are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with approved drawings and project specifications.

This role requires effective site coordination, quality monitoring, progress reporting, and communication with project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at assigned project sites.
• Ensure construction works follow approved drawings, specifications, work schedules, and project requirements.
• Coordinate workers, subcontractors, materials, tools, and equipment to support smooth site operations.
• Monitor work progress and report delays, site issues, and resource requirements to the project manager.
• Inspect ongoing and completed works to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Identify construction defects and coordinate corrective actions where necessary.
• Monitor compliance with applicable workplace safety and health requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and toolbox briefings as required by project procedures.
• Maintain proper site housekeeping and ensure safe working conditions.
• Keep accurate records of daily activities, manpower, work progress, inspections, and materials.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve site issues.
• Assist with project scheduling, material deliveries, inspections, and handover activities.
• Support the project team in achieving quality, safety, cost, and schedule objectives.

Job Requirements

• Diploma, certificate, or relevant qualification in Construction, Civil Engineering, Building, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
• Previous experience in construction site supervision or a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction methods, site operations, technical drawings, and project specifications.
• Understanding of workplace safety and health practices applicable to construction sites in Singapore.
• Good leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to organise site activities and coordinate multiple contractors effectively.
• Basic computer skills for preparing reports and maintaining project records.
• Ability to work at construction sites and meet project deadlines.
• Relevant safety training or certifications are an advantage where applicable to the role.
