Maltem Asia is currently seeking an Endpoint Security Engineer for our client in the Education domain.

Role:Endpoint Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor endpoint security platforms to ensure that managed devices have current security signatures and engines.
• Perform daily checks on endpoint protection status and compliance.
• Monitor Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) alerts and conduct first-level investigations.
• Identify infected or non-compliant endpoints and coordinate remediation.
• Investigate endpoint security incidents and escalate complex cases to the appropriate security teams or vendors.
• Manage and maintain approved EDR blacklist and whitelist policies.
• Update and close security incident records following resolution.
• Track security update deployment status and identify devices that have not updated successfully.
• Prepare monthly endpoint security compliance and incident reports.
• Coordinate with IT operations teams to improve endpoint protection coverage.

Requirements

• Relevant IT or cybersecurity qualification.
• Experience in endpoint security, IT security operations or desktop security support.
• Knowledge of endpoint protection platforms, antivirus and EDR solutions.
• Understanding of malware detection, endpoint remediation and security incident handling.
• Familiarity with endpoint compliance monitoring and security reporting.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to follow security procedures and escalate incidents promptly.
