About our client:

Our client has an established presence and fast-expanding the retail business in Malaysia, is seeking a Head of Finance to join their team, serving as a key partner to senior management. The successful candidate will be supporting and reporting directly to the CFO, based in Subang Jaya.

Key Responsibilities:

You'll oversee the end-to-end finance operations across Malaysia:

• Leading finance operations across GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory, and revenue accounting.
• Ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes and management accounts.
• Establishing and strengthening internal controls, governance frameworks, and compliance practices.
• Managing statutory audits, tax matters, and regulatory filings with external auditors and authorities.
• Driving process improvement and finance transformation initiatives, including ERP enhancements.
• Partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, HR, IT, and Commercial teams.
• Building, mentoring, and developing a high-performing finance team.

Skills & Experience Required:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• 10-15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
• Proven experience in retail, F&B, FMCG, or multi-outlet environments.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
