Client Relationship Manager – Insurer & Broker Partnerships
About the role
You will own MHC's relationships with insurers and brokers — the partners who bring us corporate clients and rely on us, as their Third Party Administrator (TPA), to deliver the employee benefits experience they promised.
Sitting in the Client Relationship team, you will manage a portfolio of insurer and broker partners and the corporate schemes under them. Your job is to keep those partners confident in our service, retain and grow the business they place with us, and turn strong delivery into renewals, referrals and new schemes.
Key responsibilities
Insurer & broker partnership management
- Manage a portfolio of insurer and broker partners, and the corporate client schemes placed through them.
- Act as the main point of contact for partners on service, claims and scheme administration matters.
- Build relationships at working and management level, so partners see MHC as a trusted extension of their team.
- Represent MHC in client, insurer or broker meetings, depending on how each scheme is engaged.
Service governance & reporting
- Run regular partner reviews (weekly, monthly, quarterly): set the agenda, facilitate, and record and circulate minutes.
- Prepare and present SLA reports covering claims turnaround, contact centre performance and panel utilisation.
- Track agreed actions to closure and flag service risks before they become escalations.
- Produce monthly and ad-hoc reports for insurers, brokers and their corporate clients.
Issue resolution & service recovery
- Work with Claims, Contact Centre, Provider Network, Finance and IT to resolve partner and client issues quickly.
- Own escalations end to end, including root cause, recovery actions and communication back to the partner.
Retention, renewals & growth
- Drive scheme retention and on-time renewals, preparing renewal packages with supporting utilisation data.
- Identify upsell, cross-sell and referral opportunities across each partner's book.
- Support new business: pre-sales meetings with insurers and brokers, quotations, service agreements and onboarding of new schemes.
Contracts, compliance & administration
- Prepare and maintain partner documentation, including quotations, service agreements and SLAs.
- Coordinate responses to audits and due diligence requested by insurers, brokers or clients.
- Keep partner, scheme and contact records accurate and up to date.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables with insurers, brokers and clients alongside Finance.
