As Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing, strong controls, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. You will manage a small team and work closely with Finance, Procurement, and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable function, including invoice processing, payment runs, and supplier reconciliations
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounts payable team
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant regulations
• Review and approve invoices, payment batches, and journal entries
• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and resolve escalated queries
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies, including system enhancements
• Support month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare reports and provide insights to senior finance leadership

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable Manager or senior AP role
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, controls, and best practices
• Experience managing and developing teams
• High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
• Confident communicator able to work with stakeholders at all levels
• Experience with finance systems and ERP platforms (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CPA) desirable but not essential
