Job Summary

Perform civil and structural engineering design and review to ensure compliance with regulations and project requirements, coordinating with stakeholders and managing submissions and site inspections for quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil and structural engineering design tasks to develop compliant and constructible solutions
• Review civil and structural drawings, specifications, calculations, method statements, material submissions, and technical proposals for completeness and compliance with project and regulatory standards
• Apply knowledge of government authorities' requirements (JTC, BCA, SCDF, NEA, PUB, LTA) to ensure designs meet statutory regulations
• Submit applications and documentation online to relevant technical authorities to secure necessary approvals efficiently
• Coordinate and liaise with architects, consultants, contractors, and site teams to facilitate timely and accurate project execution
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and verify compliance with design, safety, and quality standards
• Ensure adherence to local building codes, regulations, and workplace safety requirements throughout project lifecycle
• Lead meetings and maintain clear communication with clients to understand project needs and provide regular updates
• Utilize AutoCAD and structural analysis software to support design and review activities
• Perform additional project-related duties as assigned to support project success

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Eurocode training preferred to enhance structural design proficiency
