Job Description
Responsibilities
Join the Alice Lee Innovation Centre of Excellence at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) Campus (A.L.I.C.E @ SGH Campus), SingHealth's dedicated hub for healthcare innovations, which aims to create a safe and conducive environment where healthcare innovators can ideate, develop, prototype, test, and validate solutions that advance patient care quality and outcomes. If you are passionate about bringing transformative healthcare technologies to life and thrive on building meaningful partnerships, this is the role for you.
We are looking for an Assistant Manager / Senior Executive (Engineering) to support the Centre's mission of advancing healthcare innovation through partnership development, engineering support, and project execution. You will work across the full innovation pipeline, from early-stage ideation and prototyping through to commercialisation and clinical adoption, while helping to build and sustain the ecosystem of partners that makes this work possible.
What You Will Do:
Your primary focus will be on advancing commercial partnerships and supporting innovation projects. On the partnership front, you will help develop new collaboration opportunities with partners, including early and late-stage innovation enterprise as well as engage various internal and external stakeholders such as research institutions, government agencies amongst other key players in the ecosystem. You will manage partnership initiatives that strengthen the Centre's value proposition, support in project management, grant advisory/applications and assist innovators in navigation of the innovation ecosystem.
In parallel, you will provide hands-on engineering and technical support to innovation project teams. This includes assisting with concept development, prototype mock-ups, design verification and validation, and technology test-bedding. You will work closely with project teams on grant sourcing, planning, proposal drafting, and application submissions, and support technology scouting efforts to identify suitable industry collaborators who can help advance projects towards commercialisation. You will also help identify clinical needs through engagement with stakeholders such as department heads, clinicians, and administrators, and facilitate the exchange of ideas among project teams and stakeholders as innovations progress towards adoption.
Beyond project and partnership work, you will support the Centre's general administration and operations. This includes reviewing and updating guidance frameworks and policies, maintaining safety training materials for Centre users, managing equipment procurement and asset tracking, and monitoring and assist in the reporting of the Centre's key performance indicators. You will also contribute to resource sharing across A.L.I.C.E 's network of institutions, co-organise relevant workshops and seminars, and support public-sector engagement by triaging and matching external requests to appropriate resources within the Centre.
