We’re hiring: Casual/Part-time Staff (Animal Care)

I’m looking for a responsible and organised individual to join our Animal Research Platform at the Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia.

This is a hands-on opportunity to support animal welfare and the daily operations of a university research facility.

The role involves:

• Routine animal care, feeding, husbandry and welfare observations.
• Cleaning and upkeep of animal facilities, cages, tanks and equipment.
• Environmental monitoring, routine equipment checks and record-keeping.
• Support for approved research and teaching activities, within the staff member’s training and under appropriate supervision.

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a STEM discipline, and have sound knowledge of laboratory practices and safety. Good communication, organisational and computer skills, alongside a commitment to animal welfare, are essential.

Location: Monash University Malaysia, Bandar Sunway

Contract: Six months, casual/part-time

Remuneration: RM23/hour, subject to EPF, SOCSO and EIS

Eligibility: Malaysian citizens aged 20 years and above
