Responsibilities
Sommelier – Key Responsibilities
Recommend wines based on guests’ preferences and food selections.
Present and serve wines professionally.
Maintain and manage the restaurant’s wine inventory and cellar.
Conduct wine tastings and staff training.
Assist in developing and updating the wine list.
Monitor wine stock, ordering, storage, and inventory levels.
Ensure proper wine service, including temperature, glassware, opening, and decanting.
Keep updated on wines, regions, vintages, producers, and industry trends.
Work closely with the kitchen and FOH team on food-and-wine pairing.
Provide a high standard of guest service and contribute to wine sales.
