Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Project Context

    CDAC is embarking on an Impact Measurement (IM) pilot for its Primary Tuition Programme. The pilot will help CDAC better understand students' learning experience, engagement and progress, and strengthen how programme data is collected, analysed and used for improvement.

  • Role Overview

    The Research Fellow will provide expert guidance to the CDAC project team and Research Assistants through a coach-the-team model. The role is focused on research design, data collection planning, qualitative protocol development, analysis guidance and quality assurance. The Research Fellow is not expected to take on regular on-ground fieldwork, but may advise on fieldwork processes and troubleshooting

  • Job Responsibilities

    • Advise on the overall research approach, including sampling, data collection design and implementation considerations.

    • Review and provide feedback on student pre/post survey tools, tutor pulse questions and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) questions.

    • Guide the project team and Research Assistants on consistent data collection across centres.

    • Support the development of FGD protocols, facilitation guides and note-taking templates.

    • Advise on the analysis approach for survey data and qualitative findings.

    • Provide quality assurance for data collection, data interpretation and reporting.

    • Review emerging findings and support the development of key insights and recommendations.

    • Support the learning review to help CDAC translate findings into programme improvements.

  • Suitable Profile

    • Experience in education research, programme evaluation, social impact measurement, social science research or applied research.

    • Familiarity with survey methods and qualitative methods such as interviews or FGDs.

    • Able to explain research concepts clearly and practically to a practitioner team.

    • Comfortable working with community-based or education programmes.
