Role Overview

We are looking for a Nexthink Monitoring & Automation Engineer to monitor and improve the digital employee experience across desktops, laptops and virtual desktop environments.

The role will be responsible for identifying performance issues, performing root cause analysis, developing dashboards and alerts, and implementing proactive automation and self-healing solutions using Nexthink.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor Nexthink dashboards, alerts, campaigns and experience metrics.
• Identify early warning signs related to CPU, memory, disk, application crashes, boot time and overall endpoint performance.
• Investigate issues using Nexthink Finder, device timelines and data analysis.
• Perform root cause analysis and identify recurring issues and trends.
• Build and maintain Nexthink dashboards, alerts and experience reports.
• Develop and manage Nexthink Act automations, remote actions and proactive campaigns.
• Implement self-healing and automated remediation wherever possible.
• Validate alerts and determine the appropriate action, including user communication, automated remediation or engineering escalation.
• Analyze large datasets and identify patterns, anomalies and potential experience degradation.
• Work with Service Desk, Workplace Technology, Engineering, Incident Management and other teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare regional/global reports on digital experience trends and key issues.
• Reduce alert noise and false positives through continuous tuning.
• Document findings, root causes, remediation actions and lessons learned.
• Support regional handoffs and follow-the-sun monitoring activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and automation initiatives across the endpoint environment.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Nexthink.
• Experience with Nexthink Finder, Portal, Act, Remote Actions and Campaigns.
• Strong Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and administration experience.
• Experience supporting macOS endpoints.
• Knowledge of VDI environments.
• Active Directory experience.
• PowerShell scripting experience.
• Python or another scripting language is an advantage.
• Experience with query construction and data analysis.
• Knowledge of Sysinternals tools.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring/operations tools such as Splunk, Wireshark or ExtraHop is an advantage.
• Experience creating dashboards, reports and data visualizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years of experience in EUC, Desktop Engineering, Digital Experience Monitoring or Technology Operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify patterns and investigate issues beyond the initial symptoms.
• Good understanding of enterprise desktop environments.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working with global teams across different time zones.
• Experience in a large enterprise or financial services environment is preferred.
