Familiar with the local business environment, supplier resources and business practices.

Minimum 2 years of procurement working experience.

Mechanical industry procurement experience is preferred.

Familiar with the full procurement cycle, including supplier development, inquiry, quotation comparison, negotiation, order placement, delivery follow-up, account reconciliation and quality issue handling.

Experience in procurement of mechanical materials, spare parts and machined components.

Ability to read basic mechanical drawings or technical specifications is preferred.

Fluent in Mandarin and able to communicate in English for daily and business purposes.

Able to communicate independently with local and overseas suppliers.

Strong negotiation skills, cost awareness and delivery control capabilities.

Proficient in MS Office; ERP system experience is preferred.

Meticulous, responsible and possess good communication and coordination skills.

Valid local driving licence and legal working status are preferred.

Execute local procurement activities in Malaysia and complete procurement tasks according to schedule.

Assist in developing, evaluating and maintaining local supplier resources.

Participate in establishing and maintaining a qualified supplier list.

Conduct inquiries, quotation comparisons and negotiations.

Handle order placement and follow up on contracts and purchase orders.

Follow up on delivery, quality and abnormality issues involving mechanical materials, spare parts and machined components.

Perform account reconciliation with suppliers and coordinate payment matters.

Coordinate communication between internal departments, warehouse, finance team and suppliers.

Organize procurement data, price trends and supplier performance records.

Complete other procurement-related tasks assigned by the Procurement Manager.
