We are looking for an experienced and hands-on
Production Manager

Key Responsibilities

Set up, monitor and optimise extrusion processes, including temperature profiles, screw speed, line speed, cooling and downstream equipment.
Troubleshoot extrusion problems such as dimensional variation, surface defects, inconsistent output, material degradation and process instability.
Ensure extruded profiles meet required
dimensions, tolerances, appearance and physical properties
.
Coordinate tooling/die changes, machine setup and production changeovers.
Monitor material usage, scrap, production yield and machine downtime.
Improve productivity, cycle time, energy efficiency and overall equipment utilisation.
Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Warehouse and Management.
Train and develop production employees and establish proper operating procedures.
Maintain production records, work instructions and process parameters.
Ensure machinery, tooling and production areas are properly maintained.
Enforce workplace safety, housekeeping and manufacturing procedures.
Investigate production problems and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Requirements
Strong practical experience in
extrusion manufacturing
, preferably flexible profiles.
Experience with materials such as
synthetic rubber, TPE, TPV, flexible PVC or other thermoplastic/elastomer materials
would be advantageous.
Good understanding of extrusion machinery, dies/tooling, cooling systems, pullers, cutters and other downstream equipment.
Strong troubleshooting ability and understanding of how
material, temperature, pressure, screw speed and line speed
affect product quality.
Experience supervising and developing a production team.
Able to plan production and manage competing delivery priorities.
Comfortable working directly on the production floor and solving problems hands-on.
Good communication and leadership skills.
Diploma, technical qualification or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred.
Candidates with extensive relevant hands-on extrusion experience will also be considered even without higher academic qualifications.
