Job Summary

We are looking for a Design Architect to develop and coordinate architectural designs for industrial and commercial projects from concept through to construction documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, construction, and project teams to deliver designs that are functional, compliant, and buildable.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings for assigned projects
• Prepare design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules, in line with client requirements and applicable codes
• Coordinate with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and piping disciplines to resolve design clashes and interface issues
• Review and respond to RFIs, design queries, and client comments in a timely manner
• Communicate design matters with Mandarin-speaking clients, consultants, and team members where required
• Ensure designs comply with Malaysian building regulations, fire safety requirements, and relevant industry standards
• Participate in design reviews, meetings, and site visits to support construction teams
• Maintain document control and revision records for all design deliverables
• Support cost estimation and value engineering exercises where required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or equivalent, recognised by the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM)
• Registered with the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM) or working towards registration
• Minimum [5] years of working experience in architectural design, preferably in industrial, commercial, or data center projects
• Proficiency in spoken Mandarin is required
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or SketchUp; BIM experience is an advantage
• Good understanding of building codes, fire safety, and construction methods in Malaysia
• Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to work on site and travel to project locations as required

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
