SUMMARY OF POSITION

Excellent opportunity for a dynamic person to join a cable manufacturing company as a Shipping Clerk in Anaheim, CA. The successful candidate will have experience in the following warehouse activities including but not limited to; picking orders, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory control, experience in data entry and materials handling.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Examine and receive contents and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming material

• To receive, count and verify all material delivered by different carriers. 

• Efficiently organizes all boxes in the receiving area Sorts and separates all expedited shipments and handles them accordingly

• Inspects all items after the receipt of goods is compled 

• Records receiving data such as damages and discrepancies 

• Works with purchasing and accounts payable to resolve any discrepancies such as damages, shortages, overages, etc .

• Maintains receiving area clean and organized at all times 

• Takes ownership of his job 

• Determines shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. 

• Packs, seals, labels, palletize, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, and postage meter.

• Prepares documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials for export to China using Rapid’s software system
