CloudMile Hiring! Full Time Solution Architect (Malaysia) in Federal Territory - Ricebowl

As a Solution Architect at CloudMile, you are the technical lead in front of the customer. You work with our sales team to understand what enterprise and mid-market customers need, design the cloud solution that solves it, and help win the deal.

You'll work alongside a group of architects, get exposure to a wide range of customers and industries, and grow into larger, more strategic engagements over time.

Please note: this is a customer-facing architecture role, not a software or application development role.

What You'll Do:

Pre-sales & Solution Design

• Lead technical discovery with customer IT teams and business stakeholders, and turn requirements into clear cloud architectures.
• Design secure, resilient and cost-effective solutions covering landing zones, networking, identity and security, migration, Kubernetes/containers, and backup & DR.
• Produce solution designs, architecture diagrams, bills of materials and cost estimates.
• Contribute to RFP/RFI responses, technical proposals and business cases.
• Run demos, workshops and proofs of concept (POCs) to validate the approach with customers.
• Shape data platform and AI solutions (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Bedrock, Vertex AI), including data readiness and governance.

Collaboration & Growth

• Partner with Account Managers on opportunity qualification and account planning.
• Hand over designs cleanly to our delivery engineers and support them during implementation when needed.
• Work with cloud and technology partners (AWS, Google Cloud and selected ISVs) on joint solutions and partner programs.

What We're Looking For (Must have):

• Around 4+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure/data/AI roles
• Some customer-facing experience, such as pre-sales, consulting, solution design or leading technical discussions with clients.
• Solid experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud
• Experience in migration, modernization or new cloud build project from design to go-live.
• Ability to explain technical solutions clearly to both IT teams and business stakeholders, in writing and in presentations.

Nice to Have (We value these highly):

• Data platforms: Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, BigQuery, Dataflow or Snowflake
• AI/ML: exposure to GenAI platforms, RAG patterns, or scoping/delivering an AI proof of concept.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD for infrastructure.
• Kubernetes (Amazon EKS or GKE), cloud security, or backup & DR solutions.
• Event streaming (e.g., Kafka / Confluent).
• AWS or Google Cloud certifications.
