SUMMARY:

The Excavator Operator is responsible for operating heavy machinery to load, move and manage waste materials at the Company’s waste management facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial transportation with safe, efficient, and compliant handling of waste to support daily operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational Duties

• Operate excavators and other heavy machinery to load waste into trucks, containers, or bins
• Handle various waste types including general waste, construction debris, recyclables, and other materials
• Sort, segregate, and move waste materials as per company and regulatory guidelines
• Assist in loading, unloading, stockpiling and compacting waste materials on-site
• Support ground crew in day-to-day site operations

Equipment Care& Maintenance

• Conduct daily pre-operation checks on the excavator to ensure safe and proper function
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication and minor adjustments
• Immediately report any equipment faults, breakdowns, or damage to the supervisor
• Ensure proper shutdown procedures and secure storage of the excavator after use

Safety &Compliance

• Adhere strictly to workplace safety procedures, environmental regulations, and waste handling guidelines
• Ensure safe operation of the excavator at all times to prevent accidents or damage
• Report any safety hazards, near misses, or accidents immediately to the Site Manager or Safety Officer
• Assist in maintaining site cleanliness and preventing environmental contamination

Reporting &Communication

• Maintain accurate daily activity logs, equipment usage records, and any other required documentation
• Report completed tasks, equipment issues, and operational challenges to the Site Supervisor or Manager
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
• Provide feedback for process improvements related to excavator operations or site efficiency

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Singapore excavator operator license
• Good knowledge of excavator operations, maintenance, and safety protocols
• Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
• Familiarity with waste handling, sorting and disposal procedures
