Job Description

Responsibilities

Company Description The Wave Clinic provides luxury residential programs for teenagers and young adults, with a strong focus on specialist eating disorder treatment and adolescent behavioral health. Located in a spectacular setting in Greater Kuala Lumpur, the clinic offers a safe, personal space that promotes reflection, growth, and community living within a high-care therapeutic environment. Programs are individualized, medium to long term, and typically begin with a 12-week clinically designed treatment pathway to support progress across all areas of life. The Wave Clinic integrates education, including vocational, academic, and alternative routes into tertiary education, alongside care from a resident psychiatric team, child and adolescent psychiatrist, and resident nursing team. A dedicated Transitions House supports individuals with sustained recovery from eating disorders.

Role Description The Medical Doctor will provide comprehensive clinical care to teenagers and young adults participating in residential programs, with a particular emphasis on eating disorders and adolescent behavioral health. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting medical assessments, monitoring physical health and treatment progress, prescribing and managing medications, and collaborating closely with the psychiatric, nursing, and therapeutic teams to develop integrated care plans. The role involves participating in multidisciplinary meetings, documenting clinical findings, coordinating with families and external healthcare providers, and supporting safe transitions between levels of care, including the Transitions House. The Medical Doctor will also contribute to clinical risk management, health education, and quality improvement initiatives within the facility. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur.
