Job Description
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessment
- Lead audits across business, finance, operations, IT, compliance, and special investigations
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes
- Report audit results, key risks, and recommendations to executive management and the Audit Committee
- Monitor remediation of audit findings and control improvements
- Manage and develop the internal audit team and external co-sourcing partners, if applicable
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards
- Coordinate with external auditors, compliance, legal, finance, and other stakeholders
- Support fraud investigations, whistleblower reviews, and ad hoc reviews as needed
- Continuously improve audit methodology, tools, and reporting quality
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field
- Professional certification preferred: CIA, CPA, CISA, ACCA, or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in internal audit, risk, compliance, finance, or related functions
- Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, audit methodology, and governance practices
- Experience presenting to senior leadership and Audit Committees
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
