Silka Maytower Hotel is looking for a hands-on and responsible Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance works and ensuring that hotel facilities, equipment and systems are maintained in good working condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine preventive and corrective maintenance throughout the hotel.
- Perform inspection, servicing, troubleshooting and basic repair of air-conditioning systems, particularly Fan Coil Units (FCU).
- Attend to air-conditioning breakdowns and troubleshoot issues involving FCU units and compressors.
- Carry out maintenance and repair works for electrical, plumbing, lighting and general building facilities.
- Attend promptly to maintenance requests from guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas.
- Perform regular inspection of hotel facilities and identify potential maintenance issues.
- Respond to urgent breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations when required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders and daily service logs.
- Monitor and maintain proper inventory of tools, spare parts and maintenance materials.
- Ensure all maintenance works are carried out safely and in accordance with hotel standards and procedures.
- Support the Engineering team in ensuring the hotel facilities remain operational and in good condition.
Requirements
- Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Engineering or related technical field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Hands-on experience in air-conditioning maintenance, particularly FCU systems, is highly preferred.
- Experience in troubleshooting and basic repair of compressors and air-conditioning systems will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and building maintenance.
- Able to perform preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns effectively.
- Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays according to business requirements.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Responsible, proactive and able to work independently.
- Positive attitude with good problem-solving skills.

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM2,600.00 per month
