Job Description

Responsibilities

Experience Level:

Fresh Graduates to 3 Years

Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Client Developer (Fresh Grads to 3 years of experience) to join our team. Working directly with our designers, artists, and backend engineers, you’ll help build responsive UI, kinetic combat mechanics, and smooth client-side systems in Unity3D.

If you love mobile games, care deeply about how controls and UI feel to the player, and want to make a real impact at an agile indie studio, we’d love to talk to you.

Responsibilities

  • Gameplay & Systems: Write clean C# code to build and maintain core gameplay features, player controls, combat mechanics, and meta-game UI in Unity.
  • UI Integration: Work with UI/UX designers to bring wireframes from Miro and design tools to life in-game using Unity UI, focusing on smooth animations and responsive feedback.
  • Game Polish: Tweak and polish "game feel"—adding camera shake, hit-stop, particle triggers, and sound triggers to make combat feel crisp and satisfying.
  • Performance & Optimization: Profile and optimize mobile performance (frame rates, draw calls, memory usage) so our games run smoothly across a wide range of devices.
  • API Integration: Connect client systems with backend services for player saves, monetization features, and live game updates.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in code reviews, bug fixing, and agile workflows using Jira and Confluence alongside our engineering and design leads.

Requirements

  • Experience: Fresh graduates in Computer Science, Game Design/Development, or candidates with 1–3 years of hands-on Unity3D experience.
  • Core Technical Skills:
  • Strong foundation in C# programming, object-oriented concepts, and component-based design.
  • Practical experience with Unity UI, animator state machines, and physics/collision systems.
  • Good understanding of mobile optimization basics and profiling tools in Unity.
  • Portfolio / Projects: Demonstrable game projects (university portfolio, personal projects, game jam entries, or published titles) showing functional C# gameplay code.
  • Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and a passion for action/roguelite game mechanics.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience or interest in mobile action/roguelite titles (top-down combat, skill progression, auto-attack math).
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON parsing, or cloud save integration.
  • Familiarity with Unity Addressables or AssetBundles.
  • Experience with Git and collaboration tools like Miro, Jira, and Confluence
