SPM or equivalent; certificate/diploma in Culinary Arts, F&B or Hospitality is an advantage

Minimum 1–2 years of kitchen experience in a café, restaurant, hotel or catering outlet

Valid Food Handler Training Certificate (Sijil Latihan Pengendali Makanan) recognised by the Ministry of Health Malaysia

Typhoid vaccination (suntikan anti-tifoid) as required under the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009

Able to converse in Bahasa Malaysia; basic English is an advantage

Willingness to work onsite in the O Cafe of own warehouse

Prepare and cook menu items (all-day breakfast, rice/noodle sets, sandwiches, snacks) according to standard recipes and portioning

Carry out daily mise en place — washing, cutting, marinating, portioning, and storing ingredients

Maintain consistency in taste, presentation and portion size for every order

Assist in plating and ensure food is served within the expected turnaround time during peak hours (breakfast and lunch)

Monitor stock levels of kitchen ingredients and inform the supervisor/ manager for replenishment

Receive and check incoming deliveries against orders for quantity, freshness, and expiry

Practice FIFO (First In, First Out) storage and proper labelling to minimize wastage

Record daily wastage and assist in controlling food cost

Keep the kitchen, chiller, freezer, equipment and work area clean and always sanitized.

Comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards set by the company and local authorities

Work with the manager in crafting new menu items, seasonal specials and catering orders

Assist in catering preparation and packing for tenant events when required

Guide and work with service crew in supporting the preparation and cooking of meals.

Take on service or cashier support duties during short-handed periods, if need be

Perform any other duties assigned by the manager
