Our client in the energy sector is seeking a Market Data Engineer to deliver dependable data infrastructure and insightful reporting that underpin market analysis and commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, run and maintain data ingestion processes, ETL pipelines and database feeds that deliver timely, accurate and well-structured market data to internal analytics platforms.
• Build, enhance and support dashboards and reporting tools that turn market data into clear insights for monitoring and decision-making.
• Streamline and automate data management workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Strengthen data quality controls, and make market information more reliable and easier to access.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their analytical needs and translate them into practical data solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience in ETL pipeline development, data ingestion, database management, API integration and data quality validation.
• At least one year of relevant experience; undergraduates with relevant university project experience will also be considered.
• Training or certifications in modern data technologies are preferred.
• Prior exposure to the Oil & Gas industry is an advantage.
• Independent and self-motivated, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
