Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Route Planning and Optimization:
Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
Monitor traffic conditions, weather, and other factors to adjust routes as needed
2. Vehicle Maintenance Management:
Oversee the maintenance and repair schedules for the company’s fleet of vehicles.
Ensure all vehicles are in good working condition and comply with safety regulations.
3. Driver Management:
Supervise and support drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Schedule driver shifts and assignments to meet delivery demands.
4. 3PL Vendor Management:
Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) vendors to ensure seamless operations.
Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
5. Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all logistics activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Requirements:
Possess class 3 driving license
At least 3 years of experience in traffic control, dispatch, or similar role within logistics industry
Familiarity with route planning and scheduling.
Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and control desk.
