Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage end-to-end trade lifecycle activities, including trade capture, booking amendments, novations, assignments, and post-trade processing.
  • Handle trade-related queries and exceptions, ensuring timely investigation, resolution, and escalation to minimise operational and financial risk.
  • Act as a key Middle Office point of contact for Sales and Trading / Front Office teams.
  • Support Front Office teams on post-execution processing and operational queries.
  • Develop a strong understanding of products from Front Office through Middle Office and Operations.
  • Support new business, product, and market enablement initiatives and ensure operational readiness.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across Front Office, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and other regional teams.
  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore Middle Office teams to ensure effective Follow-the-Sun support.
  • Identify opportunities to standardise processes and improve operational consistency across regions.
  • Partner with Technology and relevant stakeholders on process improvement, automation, and transformation initiatives.
  • Review booking models and identify opportunities to improve trade processing efficiency.
  • Maintain strong operational controls and ensure compliance with internal risk frameworks.
  • Support internal, external, and regulatory audits and ensure audit findings are addressed within agreed timelines.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant regulatory requirements affecting Capital Markets and Middle Office operations.
  • Review procedures, controls, and processes regularly to identify potential operational risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Support management information and operational metrics, including trade volumes, touchpoints, and cost-per-trade analysis.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and regional stakeholders to facilitate efficient communication and issue resolution.
  • Provide knowledge sharing and hands-on training to address process or product knowledge gaps.
  • Support team management, development, and overall operational performance.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in Capital Markets, Financial Markets, Middle Office, Trade Support, or Markets Operations.
  • Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and post-trade processes.
  • Good knowledge of derivative products and financial market instruments.
  • Experience supporting or working closely with Sales and Trading / Front Office teams.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk, controls, governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience handling trade exceptions, booking issues, and operational queries.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with regional and global teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills.
  • Experience with operational transformation, system enhancement, or automation initiatives is an advantage.
